Shopify + PHP Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and customize Shopify themes, templates, and layouts to create engaging eCommerce experiences.
• Build and integrate Shopify apps, plugins, and APIs to enhance store functionality.
• Write clean, scalable PHP code for Shopify-related customizations and back-end integrations.
• Optimize Shopify stores for performance, security, and scalability, ensuring a smooth user experience.
• Work closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to meet business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Shopify-related technical issues, including complex API integrations.
• Maintain and enhance existing PHP-based applications used for Shopify integrations.
• Implement best practices in eCommerce SEO, page speed optimization, and user experience.
• Stay up to date with Shopify’s latest features, industry trends, and development best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Shopify development with expertise in PHP, Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong knowledge of Shopify APIs, webhooks, and custom app development.
• Experience in PHP frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, or Symfony) for custom Shopify integrations.
• Proficiency in MySQL, database optimization, and query performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve Shopify and PHP-related issues.
• Experience with Git version control, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of eCommerce best practices, conversion optimization, and UI/UX principles.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
